Man arrested in connection with multiple robberies in Virginia

Will. (WDBJ) – A man from Roanoke County was arrested on several robberies in Virginia, according to the Bedford Police Department.

The Bedford Police Department received a report in January 2025 about a burglary to a commercial business. Supervisory filming showed an unknown suspect at that time, which caused an investigation, according to the police. The police say that the suspect seemed to be connected to similar offenses investigated by the Sheriff’s office in Bedford County and the Sheriff’s office in Botetourt County.

The Bedford Police Department, the Bedford County Sheriff’s office and the Sheriff’s office in Botetourt county worked together to solve these crimes. A Bedford police detective was able to develop a suspect, according to the police.

The Roanoke County Police Department received a report in their jurisdiction in February 2025 of a burglary at a commercial business, according to the police. The police say that the same suspect in the burglary in Bedford County was shown in the supervisory materials.

Northern Virginia agencies also attended this investigation, because similar offenses were held in their jurisdictions, according to the police.

A search warrant was executed in Roanoke County at the suspect’s residence, according to the police. Numerous agencies have responded to help these efforts, resulting in several stolen items from these crimes, according to the police.

Ryan Wheeler Wallace in Roanoke County was arrested and charged with numerous crimes and robbery offenses. Police say more accusations can be pending.
