13 members of the Houston robbery crew, accused of robbery and drug conspiracy including crime

Houston -A great jury returned a replacement indictment on Thursday, collecting 13 men from Texas for their roles in a robbery crew who was engaged in robbery, drug trafficking, justice obstruction and murder, including killing two people in July 2023.

The next 13 defendants, all of Houston, were accused in the substitute indictment with a number of robbery conspiracy and a drug distribution conspiracy number:

  • Derrick Dewayne Butler, also known as Kutt and Kutt Throat, 28;

  • Travon Maxwell, also known as Goonie, 29 years old;

  • Emmanuel Winnfield, also known as Pimp, 36 years old;

  • Herman Mitchell, also known as Boobie, 37 years old;

  • Tyrone Raymond Bolton, also known as Honeybee, 32;

  • Joe Devon Champion, also known as Champ, 35;

  • Jonta Allen Glover, 32 years old;

  • Dewayne Donnell Champion, also known as Wayne, 37;

  • Cedric Lynn Andrews, also known as CED, 50;

  • Jermar Ballard Jones, also known as Mar, 37 years old;

  • Christian Xavier Rucker, also known as Gucci, 30;

  • Samuel Lamonte Draper, 25 years old; and

  • Jeremy James Jenkins, 21.

If he is convicted, each suspect faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison for the number of robbery conspiracy and a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and a maximum life penalty in prison for the number of drug distribution.

In addition, the suspects are accused each with one or more trial charges of holding with the intention of distributing a controlled substance, and Jones is accused of obstruction.

Three of the suspects, Butler, Rucker and Jones, were also accused of two charges in the aid of rockets, using a firearm during a drug trafficking offense, using a firearm during a crime of violence and two accusations to cause death by using a firearm about July 19.

If they are convicted of murder in the aid of the rocket, Butler, Rucker and Jones are facing each minimum of compulsory life in prison or a maximum death penalty.

Twelve suspects, Bolton, J. Champion, Glover, Winnfield, D. Champion, Mitchell, Andrews, Jones, Butler, Maxwell, Draper and Jenkins, every face, a compulsory minimum of five years in prison and a maximum life penalty in prison for a weapon weapon drugs.

A judge of the Federal District Court will establish any sentence after taking into account the US conviction guidelines and other statutory factors.
