Alabaster man found guilty for incest, charges of sexual abuse

Alabaster, that. (WBRC)-A 36-year-old Alabaster man was found guilty of a jury in Chilton County, on multiple accusations, including sexual abuse, rape, sodom and incest.

Kenneth Stevenson was charged in August 2023 and faced the following charges:

  • Rape 1
  • Sodomy 1
  • Two charges of incest
  • Two charges of sexual abuse 1
  • Two charges of attracting a child for immoral purposes

The process for Stevenson started Monday and Friday, February 28, a great jury of Chilton County returned a guilt for all the charges. The jury was deliberately over an hour.

The two victims in this case, according to Chilton District Lawyer, were 8 and 12 years old at the time of abuse. Prosecutors say that Stevenson sexually abused both victims on different occasions. On at least one occasion, the DA office says that Stevenson sexually abused victims at the same time and forced him to commit sexual acts on each other.

“It is never easy to take on such a case and spend hours examining the evidence and confessing the testimony of such sick criminal acts,” said CJ Robinson District lawyer. “The force needed for the victims to rise before this monster is unimaginable and they are heroes. The facts of this case should disgust us all and if the death penalty were available as a punishment for his crimes, he deserves 100%. “

Stevenson is to be convicted by Joy Booth circuit judge on May 8.
