Waco, Texas man sentenced to 25

Waco, Texas (KWTX) – a man from Waco who sexually abused by a young family member for years, while abused by methamphetamine was sentenced to 25 years in prison without freedom of liberty.

The 54 -court juries of the Waco State District deliberate about 30 minutes before recommending the minimum punishment allowed under the law for Jeremy Joseph Robert. The jury was deliberating seven hours before condemning Robert of continuous sexual abuse on a small child, turning his verdict at 1:30 am on Friday.

While the jury deliberately on Thursday night, prison officials rushed Robert at a local hospital, because the insulin-dependent diabetic was delusional and did not feel good.

In court on Friday after – -being for the process of punishment of the trial, Robert seemed pale and weak. He often buried his head in his hands as he slammed into a chair and supported his elbows on his knees.

Before the court started, Robert was considering accepting an offer from prosecutors, Will Hix and Jessica Washington for 25 years in prison, without conditions of conditional freedom, but Robert should have given up call. After taking into account the offer for about an hour, Robert, who faced life in prison without conditions of conditional freedom, decided to allow the jury to evaluate his punishment and keep his option to appeal.

On Monday, Robert rejected an offer to plead guilty in exchange for a mandate of 25 years in prison, which would have offered him the possibility of conditional freedom after serving half his prison, but he should have given up call.

Robert will receive credit for the 873 days he spent in the county prison before posting bonds in February 2022.

However, he must serve the whole rest of his sentence, except for his overturned appeal.

Robert, a former general employee’s employee, was convicted of the sexual abuse of a family member for about nine years, starting with the second class.

The girl, who is 19 years old, confessed that Robert abused her physically, as well as sexually abused. She said she showed her porn videos for the first time while she was exposed to her. Later, he forced her to perform sexual acts, including her sexual assault, which she said was painful and made her bleed.

Defense lawyers Abel Reyna and Archie Cruz presented to other members of the girl’s family, who confessed that they did not believe the accusations against Robert and said that the girl has a delight to make false accusations against others when she has problems at school or at home.

The girl confessed that she suffers from post -traumatic stress disorders as a result of abuse and was admitted on at least three occasions for depression, suicide attempts or suicide ideas.

In the prosecution phase on Friday, Olga Sonyakova, an investigator of children’s protection services, said that the girl and her brothers were removed from Robert’s house due to sexual and physical abuse and because Robert acknowledged that she had abused methamphetamine for 10 years.
