Baby dies because of accidental shootings

Henderson – Friday about 9:30 am on Friday, emergency services responded to shooting at a residence on Gary Street. There they discovered, reported the police chief, Marcus Barrow, in a press release around noon, a minor with a single wound.

The emergency respondents administered medical care, but the child died of injury.

Preliminary reports, said Barrow, show that another minor in the house “had access to an unspeakable firearm and downloaded it, hitting the deceased.”

The police provided that weapon and other evidence.

“The investigation will require time and various resources, including consulting with the district lawyer,” Barrow wrote.
