GWCL to temporarily suspend water supply in Amasaman district

Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL), the ACCRA West region, informed customers in the Amasaman district of a temporary reduction in water production at the NSAWAM treatment station, which serves the area.

In a statement issued on February 28, 2025, GWCL announced that the reduction of water production will take place from March 1 to March 7, 2025 to facilitate the essential maintenance work at the factory.

The company has ensured residents that maintenance is necessary to improve the efficiency of water supply.

As a result, communities in the Amasaman district will experience water supply interruptions throughout the maintenance period.

The affected areas include the city of Amasaman, Abehenease, Toman, Sapeiman, Pobiman, Obeyeyie, Daaresalam, Phase, Amanfrom, Pokuase parts and communities around.

GWCL advised residents to store enough water before disturbance and expressed regret for the inconveniences.
