Over 1000 families still in transient homes

Prime Minister Kzn, Thami, acknowledged that there were small progress in moving the flood victims of 2022 in permanent houses.

He transmitted the inaugural state of the address of the province of Partermitzburg on Friday.

He says that 1 151 families still live in transient emergency homes, more than two years after disaster.

“Seven of the eleven terrestrial parcels were resonated with a total yield of 1,733 sites. Two land parcels are still processed for resonation. The additional financing has been provided for infrastructure development to accommodate more families in permanent homes.”

Meanwhile, the provincial health Mec has guided to address the problem of drug deficiencies in some public clinics and hospitals.

“We are aware of citizens’ concerns about the availability of the drug in some of our facilities. Indeed, there were discrepancies with the availability of drugs due to operational changes that had to be introduced to manage the costs in the health department.

“In our meeting with the Health Department, we agreed that medicines should be available for patients in all our units. No patient should leave our installations without medicines.
