Orlando police shoot, kills the man armed with a rifle in style would overnight

Orlando police officers responded to a call to 221 East Colonial Drive on Sunday morning. Officials arrived at the scene at about 2:42 am referring to a suspicious person, reported to knock on the door of a victim, while armed with a weapon.

“Upon arrival in the studio workspace apartment, which was not intended for living goals, the officers met with the victim, located a few doors down,” said an Orlando police spokesman.

According to officials, the officers started on the hall, noticed an open door. The suspect came out of the Studio workspace apartment, armed with an ar-15 style rifle.

The officers gave orders for the suspect to give up the weapon. The suspect disobey and was later shot.

The reports suggest that the officers have tried life rescue measures, but the suspect was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The suspect was identified as a 62-year-old white man with a non-violent criminal historian.

The three officers involved were equipped with rooms worn by the body during the incident. They were not injured and will be on paid administrative leave.

FDLE will make an independent review of the incident, which will be sent to the State Lawyer’s Office. In addition, the Orlando Police Department will carry out its own internal investigation.
