The Sheriff’s office in Hernando County reports that, on February 22, 2025, a deputy of the Sheriff in Hernando county for the proactive patrol in the Cortez and Cyril Drive boulevard area made a traffic stop on the driver of a truck with an invalid registration plate attached to the vehicle.

Deputy D. Cross noted that the attached label showed a notification of the confiscation tags and that the registered owner did not have a valid driving license. After contacting the driver, the Deputy Crucea mentioned the driver, Isidoro Morales Dob/12-16-1988, advised that he is a Mexican citizen and has no valid driving license.

In addition to Morales, several other people were located inside the truck. When interviewing the passengers, it was finally established, everyone was illegal in the country.

The deputies immediately contacted the Internal Security Investigation Bureau (HSI) in Tampa. HSI agents responded on the spot and took subjects under arrest.

HSI advised that Isidoro has been an illegal re -entry to the United States and will face federal accusations because it was previously deported from the United States.

The remaining subjects were placed in the detention facilities where they were processed for removal procedures by HSI and will face an immigration judge who will determine if they will be removed from the United States.

Isidoro also received a criminal summons for driving a vehicle without a valid driving license.

In addition to Isidoro, those detained on the spot are as follows:
-Elias Reyes Garcia Dob/3-31-1992
-Benjamin Vazquez Dob/03-31-1971
-Carlos ship Pajarito Dob/09-03-1995
-Samuel Garcia Juarez Dob/04-06-1990

Nienhius sheriff said HCSO is always ready to help our federal partners in internal security investigations.

“Each time our deputies meet people who could be in the country illegally, we will work with HSI agents to determine their status and, if necessary, have deported those individuals after responding to any local offenses,” said Sheriff Nienhuis.
