In an unusual event in the Bengaluru Police Department, the IPS officer, Vartika Katiyar, accused her chief immediately of Popa of planted “evidence” in her office. The incident, which was supposed to have taken place on September 6, 2024, involved two junior officers, Mallikarjuna and Manjunath. Katiyar claimed that the duo acting at the end of D ROOPA.

According to Katiyar, the two junior officers entered her office without authorization, assumed on the ROOPA instructions. It seems that the officers obtained the keys of the Bureau of the Police Control Chamber without a permit. Once inside, they would have planted files and took pictures, which were then sent to Roopa via WhatsApp.

This unusual incident came to light when Katiyar filed a complaint with the chief secretary on February 20. Katiyar claims that this was not an isolated event and accuses Roopa of a model of hostile behavior, including threats at sabotage of his annual evaluation.

When they were questioned, the two junior officers acknowledged that they acted under Ropopa’s directives. Katiyar’s personal assistant, Kiran Kumar, warned him on Mallikarjuna not to enter the office without permission. After the incident, Kumar asked the two officers, who would have confirmed that Ropopa’s orders were following. Katiyar is looking for adequate action from the chief secretary against Roopa.
