The suspect in a attack that barricaded itself in a residence on Monday, at 6:43, in block 700 on N 25 street in Billings is under arrest.

David Dwelly, 64, barricaded in his apartment, after law enforcement was announced that he had assaulted two people and threatened other residents.

An initial investigation found that the suspect had assaulted two people.

He was armed with a knife and refused to cooperate with law enforcement after three hours of negotiations.

Swat took gas in the apartment and Dwelly left the bathroom, but continued to be uncooperative.

After implemented K9 units, the police authorities were able to take him to 11:30

Dwelly is accused of aggravated aggression, aggression, obstruction of a peace officer, resisting arrest and criminal evil.

This version refers to the information for C & O 25-012295 a suspect of assault and barricaded from March 3, 2025, which took place in block 700 of N 25 St.

On March 3, 2025, at about 6:43, Billings police responded to a disturbance, possibly attack on a residence. The officers were advised that the suspect had assaulted two people and threatened other residents.

The suspect returned to his apartment and was uncooperative with the officers, refusing to come outside and then arm himself with a knife.

The initial investigation indicated that the suspect attacked two people, as reported. Based on the possibility of a continuous threat to residents, BPD and Ycso Swat officers, drones and negotiators were called on the spot. The officers worked on negotiations with the suspect for about three hours, but the suspect refused to cooperate. Swat officers then took gas in the residence. At this moment, the suspect came out of the bathroom, but continued to be uncooperative. Swat officers and BPD K9 officers held the K9 police and were able to take the suspect in arrest at 11:30.

The suspect, identified as David Dwelly a 64 -year -old local, received medical assistance and was accused of aggravated aggression, aggression, obstruction of a peace officer, resisted arrest and criminal offenses.
