Former Oregon Youth Authority Advisor receives prison time to have sex with the patient

Emily Echtenkamp has worked as a qualified professional in the field of mental health and drug and alcohol -certified counselor at Maclaren, operated by Oya from Woodburn, Oregon.

Echtenkamp was responsible for the treatment of the victim, who was 19-20 years old at the time of incidents.

Echtenkamp would meet the victim in rooms without rooms and continue to perform sexual acts, including sexual intercourse. He also offered video games, footwear, cash and clothing after being released.

Echtenkamp was a guilty employee for three charges of custodial sexual conduct in the first degree, a number of improper official conduct in the first degree and an initiation number of a false report.

A judge sentenced Echtenkamp to 60 months in the Oregon Corrections Department and 24 months of prison, without early release.
