Career nights from Cam Whitmore and Reed Sheppard is not enough to overcome Thunder

Houston rockets entered Monday night trying to shake a heavy loss of Sacramento Kings, but should overcome more absences, because four of their starters would lack their match with the seed no. 1 Oklahoma City Thunder.

The guardian of the star Jalen Green was the only active starter for Houston on Monday night, while Oklahoma City saw the return of his complete line while Chet Holmgren returned from his injury.

Despite the fact that they were short -handed, the rockets went out to hot gates, keeping up with the quick offensive of Thunder in the first half. Green found the groove earlier, reaching its stains and hitting harsh jumpers.

Rookie Reed Sheppard got its first start Monday night and had an immediate impact, marking two -digit points by two quarters. Houston maintained the game almost in the first half, following only one point at the end of two quarters. However, Superstar Guardian Shai Gilgeous-Alexander would not let this last long.

Gilgeous-Alexander took over the third quarter, hitting more photos in three points and marking the will around the rim. He hit the note of 40 points halfway to the third quarter, leading Oklahoma City to a two -digit advance that was heading to the fourth.

The rockets managed to go to a run to start the fourth, while Sheppard won the crime to roll earlier in an effort to return, but the striker Thunder Lu Dort ended that ran quickly, hitting the back to push Oklahoma City’s lead back to double numbers.

This advance, along with the 51 points of Gilgeous-Alexander, proved to be too far for Houston, because Thunder could close the missiles, 137-128.

Sheppard drove the road to Houston on Monday night. He probably had the best performance of the season in his first beginning, marking 25 points at 10 out of 17, while eliminating five assistants. The Rookie guard was also active on the defensive end, recording two thefts and a block.

The rockets will seem to put this loss behind them, because they will face Indian Pacers on Tuesday night, as part of the back-to-back, we hope that with more starters again.
