Stable crime rate, but more weapon -related incidents says CBS

The Dutch police registered 812,000 offenses last year, practically unchanged from 2023 and the continuation of a stable crime rate that started in 2018, the National Agency for Statistics Said CBS Tuesday.

However, the number of weapons and other weapons offenses increased by 24% in the 10 years of 2014, CBS said.

The number of robberies decreased slightly to 22,000, compared to 71,000 10 years ago. The police also registered 78,000 violent crimes, including sexual aggression. This increased slightly on 2023, but again, again, in the total 100,000 of 2014.

The reported buds decreased from 5,500 in 2014 to 2,800 last year, while the armed robberies fell from 1,300 to 500.

Drug crime has been practically unchanged 10 years ago, with 15,300 reported incidents.

At national level, the police have registered 45 crimes to 1,000 people, a slight decrease in 2023 as the population increased. However, in Amsterdam, the figure was double than, and in Rotterdam and Eindhoven, the police registered 80 offenses for each 1,000 residents.

Telegraf said at the end of last year, 133 people were killed in the Netherlands last year, with 19 violent deaths registered in the Capital.
