Later, the Goa police said that their control room received a call on Monday at 11.12 PM, informing that a fight was held at Candolim, reported the news agency. Abu Farhan Azmi told the rival group that he has an authorized firearm that he was carrying with him, Paresh Naik said for PTI.

Both parties involved in the altercation were subsequently brought to the Calangute Police Section. While both sides received the opportunity to file complaints, however, both refused to do so and take things further, according to the police.

Abu Farhan Azmi produced a valid weapon license, issued by the authority in question, together with a permit to transport it to Goa, confirmed a police statement.

“We have video and evidence, including CCTV images, which will be shared with the competent authorities in a timely manner. We cooperate with the law enforcement agencies and believe in the justice of our Indian system and courts, ”Ayesha wrote.
