Mexican President will announce retaliation rates against us Sunday

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced on Tuesday that her government will impose retaliation rates due to 25% tariffs by US President Donald Trump for Mexican/

The Mexican leader condemned Trump’s tariffs that came into effect on Tuesday and charges that her government has links with drug trafficking organizations while announcing her own rates on American goods.

“There is no reason, a reason or justification that supports this decision that affects our peoples and nations; I said in different ways: cooperation and coordination, yes; subordination and interventionism, no. Mexico must be respected. We are equal nations,” Sheinbaum told a press conference.

The White House has announced the imposition of a long -term promise on the tariffs on Mexican and Canadian goods on March 4, citing an alleged attempt to reduce drug flows and immigrants from both countries.

The US has made charges in a statement that drug trafficking organizations hold “an intolerable relationship with the Mexico government”, and Mexican officials are currently collaborating with cartels to allow the manufacture and distribution of illicit drugs.

Sheinbaum labeled the Declaration of the White House as “offensive, defamatory and unsolved”, while mentioning her government to reduce drug trafficking, such as recent extradition of 29 criminals with a high profile related to drugs in the USA, the confiscation of over 1 million pills Cartel.

Sheinbaum said that her government will respond to Trump’s tariffs with own measures.

“I want to point out today that we will always look for a negotiated solution as we have proposed in respect for our sovereignty, but the unilateral decision affects the national and foreign companies of the United States operating in our country and affecting our people, so we decided to respond with measures that will be announced in public Sunday.
