Finanznachrichten news

Jerusalem (DPA -AFX) – The Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Education and the Administration of General Services of the US have announced a revision of the federal contracts and subsidies of the University of Colombia, in the light of the ongoing investigations for potential violations of Title VI of the Law on civil rights.

The departments said that, following the continuous inaction of Colombia, in the face of the tireless harassment of Jewish students, the working group of the Federal Government to combat anti-Semitism takes into account the stop orders for $ 51.4 million in contracts that the Federal Government has granted to the University of Columbia.

The working group will also make a comprehensive review of over $ 5 billion in Federal Financing Committees to Columbia University to ensure that the University complies with federal regulations, including its responsibilities for civil rights.

The revision of the working group is the first major action announced from the working group with several agencies to combat anti -Semitism created by the presidential executive order entitled “Additional measures to combat anti -Semitism”.

Education Secretary Linda McMahon said that, for more than a year, Jewish students have been assaulted and harassed on elite university campuses. “Illegal offices and demonstrations have completely paralyzed the daily operations on Campus, depriving Jewish students of learning opportunities to which they are entitled.”
