Immigrant homeless without document arrested for sexual activity with a 16 -year -old girl

A 70 -year -old Cuban national was arrested by the Sheriff’s office in Flagler County, after an investigation in the major FCSO unit established that the man committed trafficking in people and sexual activities with a minor. Detective contacted internal security to deport man.

What do we know:

On February 17, the deputies made contact with a 16 -year -old girl who returned home after being reported missing. The young woman told the officials that she was with a homeless man in a tent behind a Palm Coast gas station and that a sexual incident was held between them.

After talking to the victim, the detectives established that the Florida children and families department should be involved. They had a medical -legal examination made on the victim.

Through an investigation, the detectives identified the man like Jose Valerio-Rodriguez, a document without document, who lived behind the gas station.

The detectives obtained a search warrant for Valerio-Rodriguez’s tent, as well as its DNA. On March 3, the officials made contact with Valerio-Rodriguez and served the search warrants. He was arrested for trafficking in people and illegal sexual activities with certain minors. He was transported to the detention unit of the prisoners from Sheriff Perry Hall, where he is held unrelated.

Due to Valerio-Rodriguez’s immigration status, officials have established that there was a probable cause for deportation and issued an immigration prisoner. It will be deported after its local arrest will be resolved by courts.

“This predator lived illegally in the country and took advantage of a child,” said Sheriff Rick Stly. “He won not only a trip to Green Roof Inn, but also a flight outside our country. The sheriffs of Florida are united against criminal aliens. We pray that the child’s victim receives the help of this attack.”
