The plane involved in 2023 had previous safety issues: process

A new process claims the death of a woman who was involved in a Crash of New York aircraft It was “entirely preventable” and claims that the plane was thrown with a profit, despite the fact that it had experienced safety problems.

Rome Gupta died on March 5, 2023, after Piper Pa-28-161, she and her daughter Reeva Gupta were “trapped in the middle of the flight and collapsed” in Lindenhurst, NY, according to the complaint filed with the Supreme Court in Queens, on Friday, February 28, 2025, obtained by people.

The complaint claims that the mother and daughter were registered for “what was to be a cheerful and unforgettable flight lesson”, which eventually “turned into a nightmare” when the plane went down during its final approach.

Rome, 63, has not survived the accident or the pilot of the plane. Reeva, 33 years old, suffered “catastrophic injuries”, but survived.

Defendants – 2 Ba Pilot Nyc and his company – Mother Danny Waizman Aviation, a Farmingdale, NY, as well as Danny Waizman, Republic of Aviation and Robert Gain – are accused of “serious negligence, recklessness and complete disregard for safety.”

The complaint claims that Rome’s death was “preventable” and claims that the defendants “knowingly operated on an uncertain aircraft, despite repeated smoke warnings just a few weeks before the accident.”

“Instead of developing the plane and addressing the known mechanical defects, the defendants willingly ignored the bright red flags and continued to take advantage of an operation that did not have significant safety protocols, emergency or supervision response plans,” the document shows.

In addition, the complaint claims that the defendants “have a well -documented history of the corner cutting, ignoring safety complaints and exposing passengers and students who cannot be present to conditions that can endanger life.”

In a statement, the Gupta family requested a criminal investigation in case and asked the district lawyer “to act”, claiming that the report of the National Transport Security Council (NTSB) “confirms that the owner of this flight school ignored the warnings, used non -approved aircraft and has repeatedly prioritized”.

They also argued that the plane in the air was not a “mistake”, but rather “a deliberate decision to cut the corners, violating the fundamental care debt due to each person who is heading for an aircraft.”

“We trust that the justice system will do its share to respond to the responsible ones – not only in the civil court, but in the criminal court – so no other family has to endure what we have suffered,” said the Gupta family.

Lawyers Jordan Strokovsky, Ian Gallo and Mark Shirian, who represents the Gupta family, argued in a statement that the “tragic” collapse was “the predictable consequence of serious negligence and the failure to give priority to human life.”

“This process refers to the exposure of these failures and to ensure that no other family has to endure such a devastating loss due to the desired negligence,” they added.

The representatives of the defendants did not immediately respond to the requests of the people of comment.
