Canada has filed a complaint with the World Trade Organization against the United States for the dramatic increase of President Donald Trump, Wednesday confirmed on Wednesday.

Tuesday (March 4), the Canadian ambassador to OMC Nadia Theodore wrote on LinkedIn that “the US decision leaves us no choice.” She said she had: “On behalf of the Canada government, she asked for WTO consultations with the United States government regarding her unjustified rates in Canada.”

Confirmed an OMC official for AFP That “Canada initiated yesterday’s litigation procedures at the USA for additional tariffs”, following a similar complaint filed by Beijing for the US Fresh Taxes on Chinese goods.

Shortly after Trump returned to office on January 20, he announced – and then interrupted – 25 percent rates for imports from major Commercial Partners Canada and Mexico, accusing them of stopping illegal immigration and drug trafficking.

He pushed him on Tuesday with them, citing lack of progress on both fronts. And after Canada responded, Trump quickly threatened to hit Canada again.

American trade secretary Howard Lutnick said later that he thought Trump would “solve something” with Mexico and Canada.

Trump also registered an order on March 3 to increase a previously imposed 10 percent tariff over China up to 20 percent – the accumulation above the existing taxes on various Chinese goods.

Shortly after the rates on Canadian goods entered into force, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attacked the “Mute” commercial war of Washington and accused Trump of trying to collapse Canada’s economy to facilitate its country’s annexation.

In her message, Theodore said she filed her country’s complaint while wearing “my Anishinaabe suit and Canadian fashion designer Lesley Hampton.” And he signed with “Elbows Up” – the rally cry of the National Sport of National Sport in Canada.
