BORNO: The troops kill Boko Haram’s bomb producer, Bumma Amirul, in Raid Sambisa

At least nine fighters from Boko Haram, including the bomb producer of the Terrorist Group, Bumma Amirul, were killed in an authorization operation by the Nigerian troops in Sambisa Forest, the Borno State.

It was included in a position by a security analyst Zagazola Makama, on his official X handle on Wednesday.

According to him, the battle took place in the area of the Local Government Bama during the Desert Sanity 4 operation.

The troops from 21 armored brigade of the Nigerian Army, 199 Special Forces Battalion, the common civilian working group and hybrid forces launched the offensive based on the information reports indicating that the insurgents were in a well-fortified enclave between Sabil Huda and Njimiya, near the Alai Dala stand.

Makama reported that the insurgents, caught up in guard, tried to resist, but were overwhelmed by the superior fire power of the troops. In particular, the terrorists brought hospital beds on the battlefield, indicating their wait for victims and the severe blow they suffered.

An assessment of damages on the battlefield has confirmed the elimination of high profile Boko Haram, including Bumma, Bakura Ghana, Awari, Malam Kalli, Malam Usman Bula Kagoye, Ibrahim Bula ASMA’U and two other ones that are still identified.

“The troops also recovered a significant cache of great caliber ammunition,” he said.

The Boko Haram fighters in a desperate attempt to respond, planted several improvised explosive devices (IED) along the troop withdrawal route.

However, the troops have successfully detected and neutralized about ten of these explosives, preventing the potential victims.

The General Command Division (GOC) 7, Major General Abubakar Haruna, congratulated the troops for their bravery and reaffirmed the military’s commitment to eradicate terrorism in the north and throughout Nigeria.
