Colorado man found guilty, convicted of sexually assaulting his biological children

Castle Rock, there. (KKTV) – A man was found guilty of sexually assaulting his three biological children, according to the district lawyer’s office.

Officials said that Richard Lancellotti, 38, was sentenced to 38 years in life in prison, after being convicted of eight separate sexual aggression in 2021.

A jury that Lancellotti helped to choose to reject his testimony and unanimously condemned for sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of confidence, illegal sexual contact and sexual aggression on a child as a model of abuse.

The three victims, together with Lancellotti’s stepfather in a case of separate abuse in New Mexico, confessed against him, officials said.

During the sentence, officials said Lancellotti apologized for “being a bad father.”

The deputy chief DA and the leader of the special unit of the victims Danielle Jaramillo was disappointed by the conviction.

“I asked for this predator to be convicted separately for each of the 8 individual sexual assaults he has committed, so as to receive a total of 131 years in life in prison,” Jaramillo said. “The Court chose to lead many of the sentences.”

Deputy District Lawyer, Lauren Raible, said that the victims showed “an incredible courage” in the testimony against their father.

“These children were told by Lancellotti and their mother that the sexual and physical abuse they endured was their fault and that no one would believe them,” said Rable.

“It’s not true. These verdicts sent a clear message: what happened to them was not their fault and they are absolutely faithful. “
