How neo-Nazism actually works, according to a former white supremacist

Arno Michaelis is a former white nationalist skinhead, singer of the neo-Nazi meturion metal and a member of Hammerskin Nation, one of the most violent white supremacist bands.

From 1987 to 1994, Michaelis played a central role in spreading neo-Nazi ideology through music, street violence and recruitment efforts and beyond. His band has sold over 20,000 copies of his white supremacist albums in six months.

Michaelis offers a rare look in the world of violent extremism, which details how white nationalist groups recruit young men, finance their operations and use propaganda to radicate followers. He describes the brutality of life inside the movement, the constant state of fear and paranoia and how his involvement led to addiction, crime and self -destruction.

After leaving the movement, Michaelis became an anti-ray, speaker and author activist. He works with parents for peace for the deradicization of extremists, exposing the tactic used by white nationalist groups and guiding individuals away from the influence of extremism by prevention. He is the author “My life after hate” and “The Gift of our wounds”, which was frightened with Pardep Singh Kaleka, whose father was killed in the shooting of the Sikh Oak Creek temple.
