A man from Madhya Pradesh, who was believed to be in a coma, escaped from the intensive care unit, claiming that he was held captive by the private hospital and that his family was forced to pay expensive medical invoices for a treatment he said was not necessary.

The incident took place at a hospital in Ratlam, where the man left the medical unit on his own to exhibit the alleged medical fraud with his family members.

According to a report by The Free Press Journal, the victim, identified as Ninama Banat from Deendayal Nagar from Ratlam, was brought to the private hospital after suffering injury during a fight.

However, the members of his family claimed that they were told by the hospital that he had fractured the spinal cord and slipped into a coma. Similar that he could lose him, the man’s mother and wife arranged the heavy amount and borrowed from relatives and friends to treat him.

The people outside the hospital were caught when the man came out of the hospital as a normal and healthy person. The incident was captured on the room and went viral on social networks.

The man claims that the hospital staff held him, a family doubled by Rs 1 Lakh

In the video, the man can be seen leaving the hospital with medical boxes on his body and IV Drips blocked on his hand and chest. He also wore a bottle of urine in his hand, but he had no signs of critical condition that the doctors told his family.

The victim began to scream, accusing the fraud hospital against him and his family. He claimed that he was restricted by five members of the hospital while they continued to press their family members for money.


Confirming the ordeal, his wife was able to hear in the video: “They told us he had a spine fracture and that he fell into a coma. They taught us recipes and we bought everything they asked for. Then they told us to pay Rs 1 Lakh for treatment. We had to ask our relatives.

According to the report, the man was left to go only after he threatened to attack the hospital staff with a pair of scissors.
