34 -year -old man faced 20 charges, after assuming over $ 76 from Fort Wayne’s three menards

Fort Wayne, Ind. (WPT)-Fort Wayne (FWPD) police department says he arrested a 34-year-old man, who is experiencing 20 charges after stealing over $ 76 out of the three Menards locations in Fort Wayne

According to the department, its street crime unit was contacted by a Corporate Menards investigator in January on a suspect of theft.

While investigating the report, FWPD says detectives have identified the suspect as Brandon Gerber.

They say that, from May to December 2024, Gerber stole approximately $ 76,548.41 in goods, including 41 separate crime steals, which totaled about 57,553.59 USD and 53 acts of separate crimes, which totaled approximately 18,994.82.

The charges for Gerber’s arrest were completed on March 5.

Detectives say they located Gerber while he was in court for a case of unrelated theft.

Gerber was placed in police custody and transported to Allen County Prison.

He faces 20 preliminary accusations (10 theft charges (level 6) and 10 theft charges (class A) and is held without any connection because he has cases of waiting theft.
