Moscow has strongly protested in London in relation to the facts revealed that some employees of the British diplomatic mission have provided false information when obtaining a Russian visa against a diplomatic scandal and the expulsion from the Russian Federation of two British Embassy accused of information activities.

Earlier today, on March 10, a representative of the British Embassy in Moscow was called to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The Russian part expressed a strong protest in relation to the facts revealed that some employees of the diplomatic mission have made the knowledge of false information when they receive the permission to enter Russia, which is a violation of paragraph 2 of Article 26 of the Federal Law” in the procedure for leaving the Russian Federation, “

It is observed that “the British diplomat was informed that, in connection with the violation of the Russian legislation, as well as taking into account the information received by the Russian competent authorities indicating that these employees belong to the special services of the United Kingdom and, according to Article 9 two British diplomats” should leave the territory of the Russian Federation “within two weeks.

“It has been emphasized again that Moscow will not tolerate the activities of undeclared British information officers in Russia and that Russia’s uncompromise line will be formulated in accordance with the interests of national security,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

“Citizens of the UK are advised to provide only reliable and complete information about themselves when they request a Russian visa.
