South Korea Air Force -Coreea apologizes for accidental bombing, blame the pilot’s error

The South Coreean army says that the pilot error was the main cause of an accidental bombing outside an interval of training last week. The most important commander of the country’s air forces and apologized for the incident.

On Monday, the military launched a provisional report on the accident that injured 31 people, including 19 civilians.

Two KF-16 fighter jets Thursday threw eight bombs on a city outside Pocheon, about 40 kilometers north of the capital of South Korea.

The report says the pilot of the first jet introduced wrong coordinates of the target and threw the bombs without looking at him.

He also says that the second -jet pilot, he entered the target coordinates correctly, was trained by the first pilot to throw the bombs, but gave them up without looking at the target.

The chief of the General Staff of the Air Force, General Lee Young-Su, apologized to a press conference, saying that the air forces that should protect the lives and properties of people caused them damage.

South Korea and the United States started on Monday the ordinary common military exercises.

The South Korean army says it has suspended live fire exercises until preventive measures are drawn up.
