Delta: Adopt strict measures to community leaders, others affecting illicit drug dealers – group at Obevwori

The initiative for the concerns and the advancement of social rights, ISRCA, also known as “without justice, without peace”, asked the governor of the governor of the Sheriff Oborevwor, led by the Delta State, to adopt and implement strict measures against the community leaders and the security agencies suspected of helping and devoking the Government of the Government of the Government. State.

The national coordinator of ISRCA, Comrade Derrick Oritematosan Agberen, made the call in a statement sent to our Warri correspondent.

The group insisted that community leaders and security agencies are responsible for the increasing drug trafficking rate among dealers and users.

According to the group, “it becomes relevant that the management of all the communities in the state of Delta will take decisive measures against the sale of drugs, especially Colorado, a harsh drug perceived to have harmful effects on young people, causing them to behave in an unusual way, among other negative influences in today’s society.

“Its negative effects on young people cannot be overvalued, because it has led to users to present unusual behavior, which could lead to the detention by unidentified entities and in extreme cases, culminating with murder or death.”

The group stressed that “while drug abuse has become spread in society, the Delta state government should not hesitate to hold leaders in various communities responsible for helping and preventing suspect drugs that engage in the sales of these substances, considering the threat to the company.”

The group claimed that, “to an extent, if these dealers can be stopped, certain offenses would be reduced. Going further, harsh drug dealers can offer the police to lead to the detention of most criminals, given that they are major patrons, as reflected in the increased crime rates.

“It is also assumed that most of these drug dealers selling illicit products receive protection from community leaders and security agencies as part of a form of settlement, allowing them to continue their unstoppable sales.

“These accusations made almost impossible to reduce the excesses of drug trafficking and its increasing use,” the group explained.

It was remembered that there have been numerous cases in the state in which individuals with irregular behavior due to substance abuse have committed crimes.

A notable example is the case of a 23-year-old man identified as success, who would have sacrificed his father in January 2025 in the local administration area of the Delta State administration because he refused to offer him money to buy harsh drugs.
