Dunmore woman accused of attack for the Times-Times-Prit

A woman from Dunmore – under the influence of alcohol and fentanel – gave the hit officer in the groin off a Moosic supermarket on Friday night, while trying to place her behind a patrol car, the police said.

The officers responded to the Shoprita parking parking on Birney Avenue around 7:51 pm for a woman’s report in a vehicle crying for help, according to a criminal complaint.

Once on the spot, the officers noticed several people trying to keep Jessica Giello as she was screaming and swinging on other people, the police said.

A witness told the police that it was informed that Giello had taken Fentanil, according to the complaint. The officers detained Giello for the safety of everyone on the spot, the police said.

Giello’s father told the police that he had a call from a strange phone, and his daughter was screaming and crying in a panic and she went to the parking lot to try to calm her down, the officers said.

The officers detected a strong smell of alcohol from Giello, who acknowledged that he had taken more drinks and took Fentanil, the police said.

Then, Giello tried to leave the police car and started hitting and screaming when an officer tried to lift his feet back in the vehicle, hitting him in the groin, the police said.

The police accused Giello, 31, with an aggravated attack, disordered conduct, harassment and public drunkenness.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 18 at 11 in the morning
