Details about the case

Backstory:

Crystall Hafemann owns Forever Friends Learning Center, and her daughter was hired there as a child care provider.

According to a criminal complaint, an employee and a witness of the Forever Friends learning center said that he noticed that Olivia Hafemann behaves improperly and aggressively towards children in their care in May 2024.

The witness said he noticed a brand on the stomach of a 2 -year -old child who was cared for. She asked the victim what caused the brand, to which the child replied: “Mrs. Olivia pushed me.”

The witness said that Olivia Hafemann forced the child on her chair, pushed the chair to the table and kicked it, causing the child to hit the meal. She said she had taken the child to Crystall Hafemann’s office to discuss the incident, but said Crystall replied that the brand was an eruption that was there before the incident.

Another employee and witness also mentioned Olivia pushed the child into the mass, causing the brand. According to the complaint, the victim held her left hip and said “Owie”.

The second witness said that Olivia is rude for children and aggressive while teaching food.

The father stretches

Backstory:

The child’s mother stretched to Crystall Hafemann about the brand that evening.

The mother then contacted Crystall about what happened to her daughter through a message on Facebook. The conversation was saved by the mother and is included below:

Mom: “Hey! I went to give (the child) a bath this evening, and she has a strange hunt on the belly that was not there in the morning. Do you know if she fell or was hit or something?”

Crystall: “Olivia mentioned that she was stubborn to sit on the chair and leaned against the table and another child was pushing on the table at the other end.”

Mom: “Ok! I just wanted to check. She said it doesn’t hurt. She looked really awkward.”

Crystall: “I know they put some ice on it this morning, I apologize for not being transmitted to you. Olivia was trying to sit and push the chair while pushing on the table at the same time, as she leaned over the table.”

Later, the mother had a nurse to look at the bruises in a photo. The nurse said that bruises could not have been received “simply by the strength of another child in that age group” and that it would require a “great strength” to cause injury.

The supervisor of children’s protection services, Beth Wanke, later said that the injury suffered by the child was not reported by Crystall Hafemann at the child protection services or by the law, because he said it was an eruption.

Forever Friends learning center suddenly closed due to a criminal investigation in July 2024.
