Pakistan Train Hijack Live: In a major escalation of the separatist conflict in Pakistan, the militants in the Balochizan province attacked a train related to Peshawar, taking almost 450 hostage passengers, including women and children.

In a statement, the Baloch (Bla) release army, a militant separatist group, claimed the responsibility for the hostage crisis and said they took the train hostages, including security forces. Over 30 military personnel were killed in the attack, the militant group said.

“The Baloch release army performed a meticulously planned operation in Mashkaf, Dhadar, Bolan, where our freedom fighters threw the railway, forcing Jaffar Express to stop. The fighters quickly took over the train control, holding all the passengers, “he said.

The train driver was injured on Tuesday on Tuesday, according to police and railway officials. The train was on the way to Peshawar in Quetta, when he was fired. Rescue teams and security forces have reached the scene, and an operation is underway.
