For 70 -year -old Lowell Man who serve life for sexual assaults granted conditioned conditioned

A former Lowell man who executed a life conviction for the sexual assault of his three daughters received conditions of conditional freedom, the records show.

The conditional freedom council voted 4-3 to grant the release of George Economomou, 70 years old, “a medical unit that can meet his medical needs”, according to the decision of February 25.

In accordance with the law of the state, the Prosecutor of the Middlesex District may request the court officials for the economy to be declared sexually dangerously and to remain in prison, the recordings show.

“Middlesex district lawyer was postponed to the discretion of the Board of Directors, but raised concerns in testimony and (in) written presentation,” the decision shows.

In 1982, the economomou “initiated a series of physical and sexual aggression on his three daughters”, starting when his eldest daughter was 12 years old, according to the decision.

The abuse of his daughter continued until he moved from the family’s house to 24, the decision said. Her brothers were then victimized until the “state child protection agency intervened in April 1996, the decision said.

In 1997, a jury of the Middlesex Superior Court convicted him of three charges of rape and abuse of a child, and he was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of conditional freedom, according to the decision.

“Mr. Economomou maintained the innocence since his arrest in 1996,” the decision said.

Economomou “has multiple health problems,” said the decision.

“His family has confessed that they will provide adequate medical treatment for medical facilities for his multiple areas,” the decision said.

He previously had a six -month medical freedom at Shattuck Hospital in 2021 and was returned to prison once his health improved, the decision said.

ECONOMOU has completed a treatment program for sex criminals, the decision said.

Currently, he remains in arrest at MCI-Shirley, the recordings show.
