According to police reports, the deceased was identified as Dr. Balamurgan, his wife Sumehi and their two children, Dasvanth (17) and Lingesh (15).

His wife, Sumumehi, was a practicing lawyer in the court.

Their eldest son, Dasvanth, was preparing for his XII -class council exams, while the younger son, Lingesh, studied in class X.

The tragic discovery was made on Thursday morning, when their driver reached their residence.

After receiving no response from the family, he alerted the neighbors.

When they looked through the windows, they saw that the family members hung.

Dr. Balamurugan and Sumehi were found in a room, while their sons were in another.

Upon receiving the information, the city police rushed to the scene and recovered the bodies.

The remnants were subsequently sent to Kilpak Medical College (KMC) for post-mortem exam.
