The man accused of spraying two foreigners with caustic fluid was waiting for the mental health assessment

Colombia, Mo. (Kmiz)

The man accused of Wednesday for spraying two strangers with a caustic fluid near Bear Creek Trail was on Bond waiting for a mental health assessment.

Maxon Castle, 22 years old, was accused in Boone County with two accusations of second degree attack on Tuesday’s incident in the route parking.

But Castle was waiting for a psychological projection in a weapon case in Miller County, when he had attacked the victims in the parking lot.

Castle was accused of two charges of illegal use of a weapon in June 2024 for an incident in Miller County, according to judicial documents. It is assumed that Castle waved and showed a semiautomatic pistol loaded to several people outside an apartment.

Witnesses and victims told the law enforcement forces that they had faced Castle, who continued to indicate the gun. Finally, they detained it and took the gun, say the judicial documents.

The judicial documents say that Castle told the Osage Beach police officers that he took antipsychotics and drank alcohol. He also acknowledged that he owns a weapon.

An assessment of mental health was ordered for Castle in November 2024. He came out of prison waiting for this evaluation when the alleged attack in Colombia took place, say the judicial documents.

According to the probable statement, two women were hit with a castle fluid flow. They did not know him and did not challenge him to do so, says the statement. The police spoke to both women at the Memorial Hospital Va Truman and saw them with several red spots and skin irritation on their body.

The victims said that their skin began to burn about 10-15 minutes after they were sprayed, the statement said. The burning started again after they tried each one to take a shower, it is shown in the statement. The type of liquid and its content were not identified in the judicial documents. The police referred to the liquid as a “caustic” in a press release.

Once the court was not established and the castle is detained in the prison in Boone County without bonds.
