Sara Sharif: How a process revealed the brutal short life of a 10 -year -old school

“He was beautiful, an angel, wonderful, crafted,” said an urfan Sharif who was crying Old Bailey, while telling Sara Sharif’s love of eating chicken biiryi and playing guitar.

However, only a few days later, he will take full responsibility for her traumatic death, recognizing a campaign of abuse that saw the 10 -year -old suffering more than 25 fractures, bite signs, a traumatic brain injury and a burn caused by a hot iron.

During his process, there were terrible details of the brutality caused to the “happy” and “Sassy” school, whose father told the police to “punish him legally” after being naughty.

Sharif said he called in Pakistan on August 10 last year, Sharif told Surrey police that he was a “cruel father” who had not intended to kill his daughter, but lost his temper.

However, it quickly appeared to have been repeatedly attacked in the months before being killed. Caught in the Woking family’s house, she was the victim of repeated beats and scalds, forced to leave school and carry her clothes for her step -mother, while she was wearing a hijab to darken her increasing number of bruises and injuries.

Despite the concerns of the neighbors who heard screaming and crying, as well as the questions raised by her primary school teachers about the reason behind her wounds, the social services were not aware of the entire scale of the brutality faced by the young woman.

Both her father and the stepmother were found guilty of her crime, while her uncle Faisal Malik was convicted for causing or allowed her death. Their offers of appeal to reduce their sentences have been rejected, Sharif will meet a minimum term of 40 years, Batool to serve 31 years and Malik to spend 16 years behind bars.

Born in 2013 in Sharif and his ex -wife Olga, Sara’s short life was not easy. The couple, who met online in 2009, shortly before Sharif’s visa to expire, soon accused each other of abuse and divided acrimoniously in 2014, Sara was sent to maternal assistance.

After Olga made accusations of domestic abuse against Sharif, Sara was placed again in her mother’s care, while her father was ordered to carry out a program of domestic violence by Guildford family courts in 2016.

An evaluation of the course, in which he participated only in 10 out of 16 sessions, found that he is “very manipulative” and could not listen, show empathy or explore the past behaviors.

During the cross examination, he denied the statements that he swore and hit Sara’s mother and claimed to be the victim. He repeatedly rejected the suggestion that he was the common denominator, given that three of his previous partners accused him of closing them in the rooms and hid their passports.

Despite the concerns of social services, given Sharif’s history of supposed domestic violence, he received Sara Custody in 2019, after the young girl made charges against her mother.

Instead of giving his younger daughter a safe refuge after the time years of time were passed from home, she was greeted by abuse and degradation, while her new wife Beinash Batool was sitting next to them and looked.

Since May 2021, when she was only seven years old, Batool sent her sister: “Urfan beat Sara. It is covered by bruises, literally beaten black.

“I’m very sorry for Sara, the poor girl can’t go. I really want to report it. “

Given that Sharif left his phone in Pakistan and failed to provide details to access Google Drive, Batool suffering updates to her sisters are one of the key elements that have linked Sara to his violent outbursts.

Other messages from February 2022 heard that Sara began to pour when she ate, suffered anxiety and that Sharif was beating her as she was “naughty”.

In another message, she wrote: “(if) something happens to Sara, I will not be able to forgive myself.”

Despite this fact, Batool never reported her husband to social services and helped to cover Sara’s bruises, keeping her from school, with the affected abuse of the young woman just climbing.

While the family lived in a crammed apartment in West Byfleet, the neighbors reported to hear that screaming and crying, with Batool they observed the temperament and sound of the locks scratched.

During her time, living above the couple from November 2022 until April 2023, Chloe Redwin told the jurors that she frequently heard an adult female voice shouting “Close F *** Up”, “Close F *** Up,” and “Close F *** Up, you C ***”, while a young girl could be heard.

On an occasion, another neighbor was approaching their apartment after the frightening sounds came to “fever”, just for Batool to slam his door.

After moving to a semi-detailed council house in Woking, along with Sharif’s brother, Faisal Malik, their new neighbor Judith Lozeron noticed that Sara was never seen smiling and was told to be a scholarized because she was harassed because she wore a hijab.

Despite Batool’s statements that her decision to wear a headscarf in January 2023 was due to the girl’s interest in Islam, the criminal prosecution told the jurors to indicate the need to hide their wounds.

Her primary school recorded that Sara had a bruise under her left eye in June 2022, and in March 2023, a bruise on the chin and a dark brand on the right eye. She gave conflict accounts about how she suffered her wounds, and the school contacted a single access point for the advice and it was agreed that a referral to social services is required.

However, after the Easter holidays, she failed to return to join the classmates and was held at home, at the constant mile of her control father.

Four months later, she was found dead in her bunk bed in an empty house, with a hand -written note next to her body reading: “I URFAN SHARIF I killed my daughter.

“I swear to God that my intention was not to kill her. But I lost it. I run because it scares me. “

A post-mortem exam revealed the horrible nature of her death. Sara endured 71 recent injuries, which included bleeding on her brain, multiple lung bruises, a rarely broken bone in the throat and a large surface of ulcers on her buttocks.

The human bite markings were present on her body, with evidence indicating that it was a hood, beaten and restricted, while the scaling water had been poured over the ankles.

In a shocking admission in the yard, which left the jurors with an open mouth, Sharif admitted that he accelerated her with bare hands and beat her with a cricket bat, a metal pillar and a mobile phone, even throwing it in the stomach as he was dying.

After six days of claiming that his wife was to blame, accusing him of “psycho” behavior, the taxi driver confessed that he beat him as he was upset for him for shed and dirty.

Her dirty clothes were found outside, while the brown packaging tape used to retain her was found in the outside baskets, while the three defendants sought to cover their pieces. The traces of blood were found on the kitchen floor, a vacuum cleaner and the cricket lilac following a police search, while the Signs and the Spencer belt were found in a building.

In two hours of her death, the Trio has booked flights to Islamabad for the next day, with Batool heard, calmly organizing the details on the phone with a travel agency.

Upon arrival in Islamabad in the early hours, Sharif alerted the police on his actions and sparked an international manhunt, but failed to return to the UK until a month later, when Pakistani authorities began to arrest his family to assert the pressure.

“When you left for Pakistan, you had no plan to return. Your plan was to leave, so you could get rid of what you did, ”accused prosecutor Sharif, after claiming to have voluntarily returned.

However, his credibility was shredded, and the jurors condemned both and Batool for killing the school, while his brother was convicted for provoking or allowed him death.

Mr. Justice Cavanagh postponed the conviction until next Tuesday, telling jurors that the case was “extremely stressful and traumatic.”
