Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) suffered a major blow with their heads of Sports science wingNitin Patel, left by the end of this month.

Patel has previously served as physio for India and Indians in Mumbai, and BCCI will soon seek a replacement.

According to a Cricbuzz report, Patel currently fulfills his notice period and will end his three -year term, which began in April 2022.

During his time, he was responsible for several key fields, one of whom includes the rehabilitation and management of the work volume of several international crickets. This includes the appreciation of Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, Kl Rahul and many others.

He also played a major role in the return of Mohammed Shami at the international cricket after over a year, and Pacer continued to play a key role in the Champions Trophy in India 2025. The report also claims that Patel manages the rehabilitation of Bumrah, who currently outside the action from taking over an injury during the trophy.
