Malaysia Ex-PM Ismail Sabri under the corruption probe

Former Prime Minister of Malaysia is being investigated on the charges of corruption and money laundering during his term. Ismail Sabri Yaakob promised to cooperate with the probe.

The former leader appeared on Thursday and Friday at the Malaysian anti -corruption commission, for query.

The investigation focuses on the expenses and acquisition of government funds for advertising and promotion during its term from 2021 to 2022.

Also, the investigators attacked the residences of several of his former aids and other locations. They confiscated about $ 38 million in cash and 16 kilograms of gold bars.
