On Sunday, the police identified Stiller as a shopping suspect and tried to stop him as he passed through red lights as he was on Cedar Avenue in Lakeville. At one point, he was driving to the north on the southern lanes, “making several vehicles to rise from the road,” said a criminal complaint.

The officers concluded the pursuit, but later they noticed that Stiller vehicle was driving to a gas station. Stiller took off, driving over a snow bench and sidewalk as he moved away, the complaint said.

The video for the police and the gas station surveillance matched Stiller’s driving license and previous reservation photos. Also, the officers learned that Stiller was sought to run away from the police in Blaine, the complaint said.

Damage reports were still coming on Thursday.

“Unfortunately, a lot of damages were produced for houses, cars, fences, sites,” said the Brooklyn Police. “If you think your property was damaged by the suspect yesterday night, call 911 and ask to talk to a police officer in the Brooklyn center.”
