Golden Temple Clash: Man aims to devote, staff with iron rod at Golden Temple in Amritsar, five injured

Five people were injured after a man attacked him with an iron rod inside the golden temple in Amritsar.

The accused, identified as Zulfan, climbed to the second floor of the Shri Guru Ramdas Saran complex. When people tried to stop him, he began to attack them, the police said.

“He had an iron rod in his hand. When a worker tried to stop him, he attacked the worker, Jasbir Singh … When the devotes and other workers tried to stop him, he also attacked him, “said police assistant Jaspal Singh.

The wounded include two volunteers of the Golden Temple, along with devotions.

The accused, a migrant worker in Honyana, was overwhelmed and handed over to the police. One case was registered and was underway, officials said.
