Crystal Springs Pastor arrested on several sexual crimes

A Pastor Crystal Springs is in prison after being arrested on Thursday and accused of several sexual crimes.
Rev. Christopher Willett was accused of statutory rape, unnatural sexual relations, attracting a person’s computer and child pornography.
The head of Crystal Springs, Robert Thomas, said Willett was arrested after the victim came to the police station with a psychologist, detailing abuse.
Because Willett was known to have weapons in his house, the police said, he was lured to the town hall to discuss other issues, so he could be arrested without incident.
He is held at the prison in Copiah county, unrelated. The case remains in investigation and additional taxes are possible.
According to the church site, Willett was the main pastor of the first presbyterian church in Crystal Springs in October 2020, after serving in pastoral positions in Florida and Colombia, Mississippi. The married father of one is also a veteran of the US Air Force.
