City officials have told Komo News that the Special Council meeting will continue, as scheduled at 7:00 pm, in the council chambers, while the Council decides on the next steps to go further in choosing another appointed to occupy the vacancy. The Council also considers if it will change the verification process to appoint potential candidates to serve in the Municipal Council to now include the analysis of social accounts.

“I think this could warn us about any alarming opinions or behaviors that could become either disqualified or at least be taken into account during this process, because we try to make the best choice to occupy this position for residents,” said the Council President Nick Coelho.
