JPMorgan employees are looking for clues about the bank of the bank

  • Employees are waiting to find out how JPMORGAN CHASE will implement their office return mandate.
  • He is looking for clues, in a single instance sharing a document drained in a group chat.
  • Employees also shared information about location and productivity tracking tools.

In a private group chat formed after JPMORGAN’s January announcement that all employees will be called back to the full-time office, several hundred people have headed to the forum to transmit their concerns, to extend about changes and to share intelrs from the bank’s corners to understand.

The “extremely active” chat increases up to 100 messages per day, according to a member, an 8 -year -old JPMorgan employee, who spoke with Business Insider. It is one of the numerous signal chats and Reddit Fire, which JPMorgan employees call on unofficial “support groups” for employees.

“There is a depressive amount of official information within the JPMC,” they said, expressing the concern about the lack of emails about what is happening. “We need to find the information, it is not broadcast.”

Last week, a document with JPMorgan Branding was shared with the group and caused an instant hubbub, another chat member told BI, who viewed the content. It seemed to be a presentation of escalation steps for employees who do not meet RTO mandates, including a smaller number of warnings that are not attacking before possible for some.

Bi could not verify the authenticity of the document or determine who gave up in the encrypted chat. It is also clear whether it represents current or future banking policy. What is clear based on the reactions of the chat members to the 6-page contour is that JPMorgan Chase employees have hunger on how the bank will apply its 5-day policy, which has begun to run on March 3.

A JPMorgan spokesman refused to comment on the specificity of the document, but said: “If the employees do not meet the expectations, there will be branches – like any other performance problem.”

Also, employees are eager to understand how their presence is monitored. Some are worried that the company’s tracking methods may not correctly record their hours or productivity -endangering potential application. Others believe that RTO mandates and presence registration measures are excessive. Employees received anonymity by BI to discuss the company’s internal information without professional repercussions.

A VP JPMORGAN TECH told Bi, sarcastic, that they thought that the “babysitting was over”.

The people in the group chat mentioned above shared Intel about the tools for the supervision of the location and productivity of the employees. An employee with whom BI did not talk to the fact that their manager showed them a new tool with a heat map that shows how productive employees are based on items worked per hour. A technologist who has direct knowledge has confirmed the existence of an instrument that followed productivity per hour. It is not clear how wide it was launched.

“It is impossible to put a number on productivity from minute to minute,” a group chat software engineer told BI. “Much of what we do is about communication, learning, planning and investments. The only quantifiable measures last for weeks to materialize.”

JPMorgan said he does not have “a firm heat map to follow the individual production volumes”.

“For several years now, I have had a transparent presence tool, which is available for all employees and managers to see and register their time, including holidays, sick days, home work and travel,” said the bank’s spokesman.

The software engineer and the technologist described both color calendars on the manager -board paintings showing the presence of employees, highlighting models, such as the request to work from home every Friday or call for sick every Thursday. The document of the chat group mentioned such patterns as reasons for managers to open cases of human resources against workers.

JPMORGAN also has a long -lasting tracking tool, Utility of data on work in the workplacealso known as Wadu. While these types of surveillance mechanisms are not new to JPMorgan because Bi previously reportedAdds tension in a situation already full of return to the office.

Rto rto of JPMORGAN was greeted with Praise, despiseand confusion. The bank’s employees said that some offices did not have enough offices, parking lots or conference rooms and that the messenger has been in a hurry and unplanned. In it Memo By announcing the mandate, the bank acknowledged that the capacity restrictions would mean that some offices are not yet ready and keep their hybrid policies at the office, working one or two days from home until additional notification.

CEO JPMORGAN JAMIE DIMON In a February interview with CNBC he said that he is aware of this strict policy could lead to employees who leave the company and that it is good with this attitude.

But not all those who are not dissatisfied with RTO for 5 days are considering leaving the company. Some employees explore the possibility of a union and work with communications workers in America, an organization that has led about two dozen Fargo Fargo branches, as Bi previously reported.
