In Munger from Bihar, an assistant sub -inspector (ASI) died after being brutally attacked while trying to resolve a dispute in the village of Nandalapur.

The incident took place on Friday night, when ASI Santosh Kumar, posted at the Muffasil Police Station, received a suffering call on a violent altercation between two groups near ITC Nandalapur.

Responding to the call around 7:45 pm, Asi Santosh Kumar, together with his team, arrived at the location and tried to calm the parties in the war. However, in a sudden transformation of events, the members of a group attacked him with sharp weapons, hitting him several times on his head. Seriously injured, ASI Kumar was in a rushed hospital in critical condition. Given the severity of his wounds, he was subsequently sent to a hospital in Patna for treatment.

After receiving news about the incident, Munger DSP Abhishek Anand, along with a team, rushed to the hospital.

Despite the first medical assistance, Asi Santosh Kumar gave up his wounds during treatment. The attack site has achieved scary evidence of brutality, with blood stones scattered on stage. The research revealed that the first accused, identified as Ranveer Yadav and his family members, launched a tireless attack on Asi Kumar with iron rods.

The accounts of the eyewitnesses indicate that, after the attack, the accused dragged ASI unconscious of almost 30-40 meters and abandoned at the door of a neighbor before running. During the same incident, a local resident suffered a head injury, while another man, identified as Shankar Yadav, was seriously injured after being bitten in one of the attackers.

The police launched a manhunt and started for the hiding suspect of the first accused, Ranveer Yadav. However, during the chase, the police vehicle carrying Shă Chandan Kumar and a team of officers met with an accident, leaving four staff, including Shriram and Constable Saif.

Against the background of the search operation, one of the arrested suspects, identified as Guddu Yadav, tried to snatch the firearm of a police officer. In the reprisals, the police opened the fire in self-defense, hurting the accused. He was immediately taken to Sadar Hospital for treatment.

According to Munger, Syed Imran Masood, four people have been arrested so far. The first accused, Ranveer Yadav, remains in general, and the police teams make extensive raids to retain it.
