The special education teacher accused of criminal abuse, the harassment of the students

Louisville, Ky. (WAVE/Gray News) – a special high school education teacher in Kentucky was arrested for accusations of abuse in the classroom.

Jamison Woods is accused of criminal abuse, two accusations of harassment with physical contact and improper official behavior.

According to a criminal complaint, the first incident took place on January 28 at Oldham County High School. Woods was with a small group of students with special needs, when he began to demonstrate the intervention of crisis prevention on a 15 -year -old with autism for “no justified reason”.

The judicial documents say that the student was not disturbed by Hold, but asked for a woods hug afterwards. It is assumed that Woods denied him, saying, “You have ugly germs.” Woods then headed for a cabinet while the student followed and asked for another hug.

It was reported that Woods was on a student’s foot and she moved the box while spraying, according to judicial documents. The student’s glasses blocked the spray to enter their eyes.

The next reported incident occurred on January 30. Police said Woods has thrown a yoga ball at a 15 -year -old student with a 14 -year -old student with multiple disabilities. Both students were hit several times. A class assistant saw the alleged incident.

“I was aware of the accusations involving a teacher at OCHS at the end of January. The teacher was immediately removed from school and placed on leave while an investigation was conducted by OCPD. The teacher has not returned to Campus since the accusations were submitted. We continue to cooperate with the ongoing investigation and we engage in the safety and well-being of our students, while respecting the confidentiality of those involved, “said Oldham county schools in a statement that addresses the accusations.
