According to the police, the accused raped it on the girl after leaving the field when he resisted, he threw his head on the railway line and suffocated to death. Later, the accused threw the body into the field, officials said.

The minor came from IQbal Nagar in Mandi Gobindgrah and has been missing since March 11, they added.

The police identified the accused that Sanjeet Kumar, 26, from Mandi Gobindgrah. He is married and has two children. According to the police, the accused became friends with the victim 10 days before the incident, when he worked near the girl’s house. He bought a mobile phone for her a few days ago, police officials said.

The Deputy Deputy Police (DSP) deputy, Amritpal Singh Bhatti said that the problem came to the foreground, when a Dalvir Singh in Alaud found on March 13 and alerted it on Sarpanch Gurmail Singh, who then informed the police.

The police found the minor’s clothes on the other side of the railways.

The police initially registered a case in accordance with sections 103 (1) and 3 (5) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against unidentified allegations at the Sadar Khanna Police Section.

DSP Bhatti said that when the police made ads in the surrounding areas, a family from Mandi Gobindgrah identified the body as their daughter. The family originally came from Uttar Pradesh.

He said that during the investigations, the police discovered the relations of the accused with the victim, said that the girl shared details about the relationship with her sister. Family members expressed the suspicion that Sanjeet kidnapped her in the pretext of marriage.

DSP added that the police were following Sanjet during query, confessed crime. After his admission, the police added rape sections to the first information report (wire).
