St. Marys Police Department and Sheriff's Office in Pleasants County respond to recent arrest

St Marys, W.Va. (WTAP) – Both the St. Marys Police Department and the Lorasant County Sheriff Office sent press releases on Friday and investigating a recent arrest of a resident of a St.Mary.

According to both press releases, this refers to the arrest that took place on March 12 which involves the use of force by the officers.

The office of the sheriff in Pleasants county said that the Association of Western Virginia was contacted to carry out an independent investigation in this regard.

Both departments through press releases said that there will be no comments on the investigation.
