Suspect of armed robbery killed in police fires

Kuala Lumpur: A 33-year-old man involved in armed robberies was killed in an exchange of fires with the Besut police, Landgganu, Sunday morning (March 16) in the morning.

The suspect from Landggananu was leading a four -wheel traction on Jalan Seberang Jerteh, Kuala Besut, when he was detected by the police during a coded operation “OPS Laras”.

Sources said a team of the Criminal Investigation Department Bukit Aman (CID) stopped the vehicle near the Royal Malaysian Air Force base.

“Instead of cooperating, the suspect fired several fires at the police, forcing them to turn the fire,” the source said.

After the shooting was completed, the police found a silver gun with bullets on the vehicle floor.

“Two packages filled with drugs were also confiscated,” the source added.

The initial investigations revealed that the suspect had seven previous criminal records, including offenses related to firearms, robberies and drugs.

The crimes were committed in several areas of Kelantan, including Pasir Puh and Pasir Mas.

Further investigations are carried out by the Terence Police and the forensic unit.

It was found out that the chief commissioner of the Police Landgganu, Datuk Mohd Khairi Khairudin, will organize a press conference soon.
