Hillsborough County, Fla. – A man from Tâmpa was arrested on Saturday after stole an ambulance and drove law enforcement on a chase, the authorities said.

43 -year -old Michael J. Esquilin was accused of the theft of an emergency vehicle, a big theft of an emergency vehicle and ran and circumvented.

Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troops received an call around 8:28 pm on a fire rescue ambulance in Tampa, which was stolen from HCA South Tampa Hospital.

When the troops and officers of the Police Department of Tampa tried to take Esquilin in arrest, he resisted holding the steering wheel, the report shows.

After being arrested, Esquilin said he drank in the last two days and stole the ambulance, because he refused a walk at the vehicle by the emergency staff.

In addition, Esquilin was accused of driving while the permit was suspended, DUI and resistance to arrest.
