Doge staff has violated treasury rules that transmit personal data

A personnel of the Government Efficiency Department violated the policies of the Treasury Department when he sent a spreadsheet containing personal information to other two persons in the Trump administration, a federal official revealed in a court on Friday.

This Personal Dogo was Marko Elez, who left his job following the cash payments after the social posts that related to racist beliefs appeared online. Since then he has been re -embodied by Doge to the Social Security Administration.

The details about the data exchange arise from a forensic forensic analysis realized as part of a process introduced by New York and other state -of -the -state lawyers trying to stop the efficiency of President Donald Trump from accessing sensitive payment information about US taxpayers, contractors, employees and beneficiaries.

The violation raises concerns about the data security practices of Doge’s activity at the Treasury Department and other agencies, while digging in sensitive government databases. A federal warehouse earlier this week mentioned that any disturbances of the cash payment systems “could have catastrophic consequences”, including the federal default risk or endangering social assistance payments to millions of Americans.

General lawyers responded on Friday in their own submission that revelation shows why the court should not allow them to replace them to have more access to data. The judge previously issued an order that limits Doge’s access to the payment systems, which the government is trying to modify.

“The plaintiffs quickly examined the content of these statements and do nothing to alleviate any of the concerns expressed by the court in his opinion on the haste and chaotic nature of the Doge Treasury team,” general lawyers said in a footnote on their own registration on Friday. “Rather, these new statements confirm that the Court’s concerns were well founded.”

The forensic analysis was carried out after the Government revealed in a previous court, that they had briefly read access to the payment data, when the court was previously advised that its access was only in reading. The analysis found that they made no change in payment data.

However, after they resigned, the treasury found that it sent through E -mail a spreadsheet containing personal identification information to two other officials from the Administration of General Services, a separate agency that manages business operations for a large part of the federal government, according to the new storage.

The calculation sheet contained names – although the treasury did not specify if they are from persons or entities – with the type of transaction and a sum of money, according to the registration. Also, the treasury did not reveal how many payments were included.

“The name in the spreadsheet are considered to be low risk, because the names are not accompanied by more specific identifiers, such as the social security number or the birth data,” David Ambrose, the Privacy Director of the Fiscal Service, shows.

But the distribution of personal identifiable information has violated the policies of the Fiscal Service Bureau, because it was not encrypted and they did not obtain the written approval, he said.

During the registrations in a file of the separate court, the Social Security Administration said this week that Doge employees need sensitive data on social security beneficiaries, so that “they can examine the necessary records to detect fraud”. They are one of the 10 Doge employees at the Social Insurance Agency.

SSA and they did not respond immediately to comment requests.

The judge in the case of the treasury last month blocked the Doge affiliated employees to access the personal and financial information of the Americans at the treasury. But the judge gave the government a ramp outside the ramp, saying that the justice department could seek to raise the ordinance after providing details about training and verification for Doge employees. The submission on Friday presented such training for the employee who replaced them, who specifically addressed the problems around the violation of his predecessor.

States that claimed that Doge has endangered the data of Americans, providing uninstalled personnel access to a vast information. The data comes from a wide range of payments by the federal government to millions of Americans, including social security checks, veteran benefits, medicine payments and medication and credits for children’s tax.

Before joining Doge, they worked as a Spacex engineer and Social Media X, two companies due by billionaire Elon Musk. Trump was in charge of Musk with a broad effort to withdraw into federal expenses, and the cash-to-the–way pay system contains some of the most sensitive unlawful information that the government keeps has been an early target of this effort.

In a registration of the separate court, on Monday, the Agency said that there are 10 Doge employees who work to eliminate waste and fraud in the nation’s social insurance program and that they need direct access to the beneficiaries’ data to do so.
