Changing the pleading hearing for the amber alert suspect in Wayne County

Wooster, Ohio (Woio)-The man accused of kidnapping a two-year-old boy from outside a general general has a change in pleading at the Wayne County Court, for common reasons.

Larry Spence, 55, is accused of kidnapping, kidnapping and theft of a motor vehicle.

According to the Prosecutor General’s office in Ohio, the child was sitting alone in a truck outside the store in block 60 in S. Main St. from Marshallville, around 2:00 pm, on March 1, 2024.

Spence is supposed to have entered Dodge Ram while the father was in the store and left.

The father called 911 when he left the store and saw that the vehicle had disappeared.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol troops said that the herd camera system obtained a hit on the vehicle registration plate shortly after kidnapping in the Akron area.

Around 3:30 pm, American marches and several other law enforcement agencies located the vehicle at the intersection between East Street and Florida Avenue and found the unharmed boy and still in his car seat.

The American Marshal said Spence was arrested on several blocks in the abandoned vehicle and took out without incident.

According to the judicial records, Spence did not realize that the child was inside the vehicle until he refused music and heard the child make noise.
